Speaking Spanish Class

¿Hablas espanol? ¿Te gustar ía aprender?

Do you understand what that says? Would you like to understand what that says? If so, you're in luck. The Hispanic Ministry at Carmel Lutheran Church is sponsoring Spanish language classes. These classes are designed to guide you through the basics of Spanish so you can become more confident of your ability to have small talk with a native Spanish speaker.

WHEN AND WHERE: This will be a nine week course that meets on Sunday nights at Carmel Lutheran Church at 7:30 starting Oct 9th.

CONFIDENCE NOT PERFECTION: The emphasis of the class is to be understood not to feel like you have to speak perfectly. Native speakers appreciate your effort to communicate with them regardless of your grammatical ability.

SUPPORT THE MINISTRY: This is an integrated course where both English and Spanish speakers work together to help each other become comfortable greeting one another in social situations. This is a great opportunity to support the Hispanic Ministry as well as strengthen the relationship between the communities.

COST: There is no cost to attend; however, we are asking for a free will offering of which 100% will go to support the Hispanic Ministry and Pastor Ruiz.

ABOUT THE MINISTRY: The Hispanic Ministry seeks to support the rapidly increasing Hispanic population in the Indianapolis area and teach them about the Word of God. Some examples of this support are church services and Bible studies in Spanish, classes for English as a Second Language (ESL), providing Bibles in Spanish as well performing baptisms and marriages. This ministry is in need of financial and prayerful support. This initiative is one way we can support the Hispanic Ministry not only through money but through building friendships.

ALL SKILL LEVELS INVITED: Even if you know basic Spanish or you're fluent, this will be a great opportunity for you to interact with and help others. It's also a way for you to get involved in this program as we strive to develop a full Spanish as a Second Language (SSL) program designed for every skill level. The program will be an alternative to the high priced Spanish classes offered around town.
